Project requires a
ALMA Project Scheduler/Planner
The ALMA Project Scheduler/Planner assists with maintenance of integrated project
schedules for selected ALMA activities; supports coordinating work activities
with project groups; supports progressing schedules and assists in identifying
and resolving schedule conflicts; supports Earned Value Management (EVM)
reporting and variance analysis; supports change and problem management. This position requires significant computer
experience and a strong interest in learning and using medium to high-end
Project Planning & Control tools (e.g., Open Plan), as well as strong
abilities in using tools such as Excel or Visio for analysis and
reporting. Applicants must have
excellent communications skills in English.
Requirements for the Position:
§
Significant
computer experience and a strong interest in learning and using medium to
high-end Project Planning & Control tools (e.g., Open Plan)
§
Ability to learn
and use Earned Value Management (EVM) and project scheduling methods.
§
Strong abilities
in using tools such as Excel or Visio for analysis and reporting are essential.
§
Excellent
communication skills (including English); the ability to convey scheduling and
financial information
§
Ability to learn
and perform analysis and reporting on master and sub-project plans
§
Ability to plan,
track and display project efforts and performance
